Iran Accuses Detained British Couple of Espionage

 

Iranian authorities have charged a British couple with espionage, alleging they have links to foreign intelligence agencies. The couple, identified as Craig and Lindsay Foreman, has been in detention since January, with Iranian officials claiming they gathered intelligence across multiple provinces. The accusations were made public by Asghar Jahangir, a judiciary spokesperson, who stated that the couple was arrested by the Revolutionary Guard’s intelligence forces while they were in Kerman, a city in southern Iran.

The UK Foreign Office has expressed deep concern over the detentions and is actively engaging with Iranian authorities to seek clarity on the allegations.
