DoorDash announces new retail partnerships and shopping options

In a recent announcement, DoorDash said that it plans to team up with several retailers to provide customers with a faster delivery service. It also says that it will be introducing new shopping features to give online shoppers more options when making purchases.

The delivery company says it will work with Lush Cosmetics, Victoria’s Secret, and Party City to get items delivered directly to customers’ homes.

The partnerships will give customers of these stores more options, as hundreds of stores in the US will be available via DoorDash because of the partnerships.

In addition to this, the company announced a number of additions to its current shopping options. The new shopping options will, according to DoorDash, allow for frictionless communication, flexible and fast delivery, and search and discovery.

One of the features is better communication with the online service. This means that shoppers can add their preferences in advance, so if an item needs to be swapped for some reason, they will receive a replacement that is the closest to their needs.

DoorDash will also provide an update to its search options, including being able to look for store-specific items, so consumers can find exactly what they’re looking for.

Another change will be to the delivery options available on DoorDash. The company says that it will expand its delivery options to give online shoppers better service. They will have the option to schedule deliveries to suit their schedules, and there will be an express delivery so they can receive their items faster.

In its announcement, the company says: “Our mission is to bring consumers all the best of their neighbourhoods to their doorstep, including retail, grocery, convenience, and alcohol items, at low cost while saving them time.

Features such as express delivery ensure that consumers get essentials like over-the-counter medicine quickly, while enhanced search lets them easily find travel necessities for that last-minute weekend trip. We’re proud to develop these features in partnership with retailers as consumers crave convenience, alongside speed and selection.”
