The online “Netflix Hub” has proven to be extremely popular with Walmart customers. In light of this, then the company has announced that it plans to expand this section to physical stores.
Walmart made the decision to collaborate with Netflix in October 2021 via a digital storefront. Due to its success, it will now be available in over 2,400 Walmart stores.
Customers can now enjoy a large range of products in-store, as well as online, including clothes, games, and other goodies from some of the most enjoyed Netflix shows.
When announcing the news, Frank Barbieri, vice president of content and digital at Walmart said: “I have so many fond memories of perusing the movie aisle looking for the perfect film to watch with my family on movie night, sometimes sneaking a bag of candy or popcorn into the cart along the way. This is something I thought my kids would never experience, until now.”
What is the Netflix Hub?
Since its launch last year, the online Netflix Hub has offered customers a variety of products including music, apparel, collectibles, themed snacks, toys, and games, for fan-favorite shows like “Stranger Things,” “Nailed It!” and “CoComelon,” and “Ada Twist, Scientist.”
The new in-store version will provide the same products, with an extended product range in some stores. Depending on the season and time of the year, shoppers will be able to find different types of products like gifts, holiday cards, advent calendars, and more.
Walmart says that the range of products will be consistently updated so the products available will stay relevant, with items available from the latest Netflix shows.
During the holiday season, gift ideas like clothing, jewelry, board games, and other items will be available from the most-loved Netflix shows, with everything from Cobra Kai to Squid Game. There will also be a Netflix Streaming Gift Card to stream the latest shows.
